Southeast Cedar Homes, based in Sitka, Alaska, is owned and operated by general contractor, Marcel LaPerriere.  Marcel is a fully licensed, bonded and insured contractor in the state and is experienced in all phases of residential and commercial construction.

Southeast Cedar Homes has a focus on green building and increasing energy efficiency in your new or existing home or office.  This is achieved through site and building assessment and developing a plan of improvement with the client.

While specializing in cedar homes and green building, this is by no means a limiting factor for Marcel and Southeast Cedar Homes.  He has worked on a variety of projects ranging from wooden boats and private homes and cottages to large-scale commercial projects, including hydroelectric dams and powerhouses and even a rock climbing gym in Juneau.

Marcel has overseen all phases of construction, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.  Additionally, he has worked in all levels of construction from laborer to superintendent.  This gives Marcel an advantage over other builders, especially when it comes to knowing quality construction and providing accurate cost estimates for his clients.
